How Young myBrand connects young colleagues

Connecting young talent with each other and the organisation. There are various initiatives within the companies in the Conclusion ecosystem to guide young talent in their professional and personal development. Sander de Been from myBrand Conclusion takes you into the world of Young myBrand.

What is Young myBrand?

Sander: "Young myBrand (YMB) is for and by young colleagues. At least four times a year we organise events focusing on connection, fun and professional development. This is how we meet the needs of our younger target group.

The events vary from a gala on a boat, a sustainability event where we clean the Utrecht canals, to a Beachclub event with BBQ and beach games. Every time we try to come up with something innovative - although that is secretly quite a challenge."

Why does myBrand Conclusion think this initiative is important?

"About 100 to 150 Young Professionals are now working at myBrand Conclusion. They often have different needs when it comes to engaging and binding. As an organisation, we feel it is important to respond to this. Young myBrand plays a key role in this, which is why we facilitate this with various substantive, social and fun events. After all, this target group largely forms the future of our company."

“I feel extra connected. It is so important to do other things together outside work.”

How does Young myBrand help young colleagues get ahead?

"Getting to know new colleagues - especially outside your own office - can be quite difficult. During the corona period this was even more of a challenge; offices were empty and many starters missed out on connecting. That was when we founded YMB, with the aim of connecting colleagues in an accessible way. Because when you know each other better, new opportunities arise naturally - both inside and outside work.

The best part? Connecting people. There is nothing more fun than seeing how colleagues get to know each other better and better. Our mix of substantive and fun events ensures that conversations go beyond the standard small talk. It is precisely during these other activities that more depth is created, and that is cool to see. It makes me feel even more connected to the company. Work is important, but doing things together outside work is at least as valuable!"
